Hi, I’m Thayna!

I am a first-generation Brazilian-American User Experience Designer based in Seattle, WA with an interest in expressing myself creatively and creating unique experiences mixed with my interest in video games. One of my latest achievements was graduating from the University of Washington with a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction and Design.

The first question I usually get is: “How do I pronounce your name?” After years of perfecting my reply, the easiest way to pronounce it is China but with a T. It means sunshine in tupí-guaraní, one of Brazil's native dialects.

With an undergrad in Political Science and working as a lobbyist for a while, I decided to transition to tech since petting dogs is still not a job. For the past 5+ years, I have worked mostly as a front-end developer, having worked as a consultant at the Accenture Technology branch on large-scale projects to build websites for small businesses.
